The Margalla Hills are a hill range in Pakistan's Margalla Hills National Park, which is located on the northern outskirts of Islamabad Capital Territory, just south of Haripur District, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. It is located in the foothills of the Himalayas. The Margalla range is 12,605 hectares in size. It is a mountain range with various valleys and high peaks.
The Margalla Hills are the continuation of the Himalayan mountain range. The soil on the hill is fertile and completely covered with green trees, herbaceous plants and rocks. The forest on the hills is the natural habitat for a variety of animals and birds. The forestry department of Pakistan and the authorities has tried their level best to revive tourism in this area. Every year, many private clubs along with the authorities conduct a hiking excursion to fetch up the importance of the Margalla Hills among all age groups.
The authorities have made possible for people to visit the forest, roam about safely, and explore the natural resort. For people who wants to experience hiking and overnight camping can come here as it is the safest place for the purpose. The Margalla range has an area of 12,605 hectares. The hills are a part of Murree hills. It is a range shared between many valleys as well as high mountains.
Margalla Hills are a popular tourist destination, with Daman-e-Koh and Pir Sohawa serving as popular hill stations, while Shakarparian Cultural Complex and Lake View Park are among the popular picnic spots. The park is quite rich in biodiversity, especially in Sino-Himalayan fauna, most notably gray goral, barking deer and the Leopard. Furthermore, Margalla hills have over 30 hiking trails
Families and friend folks gather here to enjoy a day out in the lush hills that offer a lot of view and serenity even on the hottest of the days. While some bring food from their homes or restaurant to enjoy eating at the high viewpoint.
Margalla hills are enjoyed by both kids and adults, as it’s a picnic spot with Daman e koh, Faisal mosque, Pakistan Monument and much more can be enjoyed at or near the Margalla hills.
Many local exhibition and festivals are held by different organizations to prompt cultural significance, tourism, art and sports. One regularly held festival is Pakistan Mountain Festival that promotes art and hiking competition. Margalla hills hosts many restaurants, that offer outside dining with view of the city below, many of them also offer American, Chinese, Italian and Pakistani cuisine.

مارگلہ ہلز پاکستان کے مارگلہ ہلز نیشنل پارک کا ایک پہاڑی سلسلہ ہے جو کہ اسلام آباد کیپٹل ٹیریٹری کے شمالی مضافات میں ، خیبر پختونخواہ کے ضلع ہری پور کے بالکل جنوب میں واقع ہے۔ یہ ہمالیہ کے دامن میں واقع ہے۔ مارگلہ کی حد 12,605 ہیکٹر سائز میں ہے۔ یہ ایک پہاڑی سلسلہ ہے جس میں مختلف وادیاں اور اونچی چوٹیاں ہیں۔

مارگلہ پہاڑیوں میں بہت سے ریستوراں ہیں، جو نیچے شہر کے نظارے کے ساتھ باہر کھانے کی پیشکش کرتے ہیں، ان میں سے بہت س امریکی، چینی، اطالوی اور پاکستانی کھانے بھی پیش کرتے ہیں۔
